Data Transfer Tool - Manual Data Extraction Guide

If you’re experiencing issues with the Data Transfer Tool and need your data pushed to the portal, please follow these steps:

If you're on DTT v0.59.0 or later

  1. Press the "AppData" button at the bottom of the DTT

  2. Wait for a finder/explorer window to pop open

  3. Select all of the files/folders in that folder (To know you're in the right place there should be a couple of folders called Logs and Assessments), zip/compress them, and send them to your Moth+Flame Customer Success Manager


If you're on Mac

  1. Open Finder

  2. Press Go in the Finder's menu bar

  3. Press "Go To Folder"

  4. Type or paste "~/Library/Application Support/promise/mffiles/" in the resulting popup

  5. Click on the resulting blue button to be taken to that location in Finder

  6. Select all of the files/folders in that folder (To know you're in the right place there should be a couple of folders called Logs and Assessments), zip/compress them, and send them to your Customer Success Manager.

How to Zip on Mac:

Control-click all of the files you need to zip and then choose Compress from the shortcut menu



If you're on PC:

  1. Open file explorer

  2. Type into the URL bar %appdata%

  1. Open the promise folder

  2. Open the mffiles folder

  3. Select all of the files/folders in that folder (To know you're in the right place there should be a couple of folders called Logs and Assessments), zip/compress them, and send them to your Customer Success Manager



How to zip on PC:

Select all of the items you want to zip and right click. Press 'Compress to Zip file' from the menu.
