Using SideQuest to load an application
Click on the link provided to download the .apk file
Go to SideQuestVR.com
Click on the GET SIDEQUEST button on the top of the page
Download the correct version for your computer’s operation system (choose the "Advanced Installer")
Load the downloaded file
Create an Oculus developer account by going to Oculus Developer Center | Overview
Sign-in using the Meta account you used to set up your Quest headset
Scroll down and select the link to Create an Organization
Enter the name of your organization (this can be anything)
Select submit
Agree to the terms of the agreement
Enter a credit card or phone number for identity verification. There is no charge to be an Oculus developer, but Meta’s terms of service do require one of these piece of information on file.
Open the Oculus app on your phone
Select Connect to have the app search for your headset
When the headset is connected, select Developer Mode under Headset Settings
Toggle the developer mode switch to on
Open SideQuest on your computer
Connect your Quest 2 headset to your computer using the USB cable
Ensure your headset is successfully connected with the green circle on the menu bar
Click the Install APK file from folder on computer icon on the top menu bar
Select the downloaded Moth+Flame apk and select Open
It will take a couple of minutes for the apk to load. You can ensure the apk had loaded successfully when the pink status icon turns to a check mark.
Inside the Oculus home screen select the Apps icon on right side of the bottom bar
Select the drop down menu on the top right
Select Unknown Sources
Select the application you sideloaded to launch the application
